Precision medicine is becoming an important field of treatment for chronic diseases and AI associated to embodied conversational agents offer promising perspectives. It also raises ethical, methodological and economical issues to profoundly impact our health care systems. France has a very centralized health care organization and health care will present specific choices that could be shared with other countries. We developed in my lab new conversational agents that we have validated against real physicians to diagnose, sleep disorders, addiction and mood disorders. We also developed virtual patients to create a pedagogic environment where nurses and physicians can get used to interact with virtual agents. The final goal being to create a new category of virtual companions and physicians to collect in the most ecological manner symptoms from healthy subjects and patients and provide clinical recommendations.
